Domain Registration Frustration

We’ve all been there. Hours of searching for a domain name for the latest project only to find that everything suitable seems to have been registered already. Sometimes you just feel like banging your head off the keyboard.

Generally, I don’t mind if someone has already registered the domain and put it to a good use. However, what I find really frustrating is the increasing number of “good” domains that are registered and then simply parked, waiting to be sold.

Mac OSX Leopard Preview

Apple have released a preview of their latest OSX version, “Leopard”. Amonst the goodies on offer are some new applications as well as updates to existing apps.

Mail has been upgraded with a few features already offered in Microsoft’s Outlook application, namely notes and “to do” lists, the latter of which are automatically added/updated in iCal as well. Apple have also introduced a stationery system to Mail that allows you to add your own photographs into supplied templates.

Web Standards Awards - Mission Accomplished?

The Web Standards Awards site is a favourite haunt of mine when I’m in need of some inspiration or even if I just have a few spare minutes and want to check out some of the best sites that the web has to offer. However, on a recent visit, it quickly became apparent that there was something different going on.
